I was very excited to have my work selected to be a part of FUSION's inaugural emerging artist exhibition: BREAKTHROUGH at the Robert Langen Art Gallery at Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. The exhibit runs from June 1st to 29th, 2018.
At the opening reception and award ceremony, I was honoured to receive The Craft Ontario Affiliate Award for my series, 'Reproduction'.
Forty eight artists from across Canada submitted 126 pieces for consideration. All were either currently students, or within five years of their training. The result was an exhibition from 28 artists that was vibrant, varied and engaging. The exhibition was a wonderful survey of sculptural and functional work from the next generation of glass and clay
artists. Using a multitude of materials and construction methods within their respective disciplines, these artists are breaking new ground.
